The basis of all appearances is the energy of intrinsic awareness which flows through the yogis’ central energy meridians, symbolizing the unified consciousness which penetrates to the heart of reality. Animal signs of the Tibetan zodiac appear at the upper left along with light spheres representing Buddha realms and five animal-headed dakinis of the Bardo, the intermediary ream between death and rebirth. As the Dalai Lama stated: “It is vital to understand and develop the deep conviction that consciousness has the potential to increase to an infinite degree.”
